About Me
My name is Jesse van Wyk.
I am a Level 3 Qualified sports massage therapist with an understanding of:
soft tissue dysfunction; the anatomy and physiology of sports massage;
as well as dedicated principles of Health and Fitness.
This has helped me identify issues with clients that can be improved on i.e diet, training or tactics to change and improve their livelihoods.
I was also lucky enough to have hands on training in a private practice with Jane O’Connor ADO DO with over 40 years of experience which greatly widened my horizon of what is possible for myslef in the future.
I specialise is sports massage therapy, helping out athletes in their recovery periods inbetween training, or even if they have injured themselves and have been referred to me by a physio, my aim is to help them and get them back to proper form.
However I learnt that purely sports massage isn’t for everyone. So I made sure to also become skilled in deep tissue massages and remedial massages for people who feel daunted by Sports therapy.
Sports massage is not only useful to physically active people, but also to most us who experience long days at work behind desks and in front of computers. I have learnt that everyone needs to be catered to, because we can all benefit from something like massage.
